- A new success story is now available under the "Success Stories" section of the OpenECG portal. It is related to the "Erasmus MC Solution to ECG Transmission" and has been kindly provided by Marcel de Wijs (Erasmus MC).
- A Frequently Asked Questions section is now available in the OpenECG portal.
- A further on improved version of the certification service is now available in the Members' Area. The content checker has been updated to ver. 1.13C, while the format checker has been updated to ver. 2.10. These new versions of the format and content checkers solve some minor problems of the previous version.
- The new version of the certification service is now available in the Members' Area. The content checker has been updated to ver. 1.13b, while the format checker has been updated to ver. 2.00. The new version of the format checker checks all the sections (0..11) defined by the SCP-ECG standard and also operates some inter-section checks. To access the certification service, select the Membership section, click on Members' Area and digit your OpenECG member account (username and password). Once accessed the OpenECG members' area, you need to click on "OpenECG Certification" and then on "ECG Record Testing (Web Interface)".
- The presentation made by the OpenECG consortium at the pHealth 2006 International Workshop, Luzern, Switzerland on 30 January - 1 February 2006 is now available in the Presentations section of the portal.
- The presentations made by the OpenECG consortium at Computers in Cardiology 2004, Chicago, IL, USA on 19-22 September 2004 and Computers in Cardiology 2005, Lyon, France on 25-28 September 2005 are now available in the Presentations section of the portal.
- In the OpenECG SW Repository of the OpenECG members' area (once accessed the members' area, you need to click on "Software Repository"), the new version (2.2) of the Visual SCP Reader Application (SCP-AV), developed by E. Cervesato and G. De Odorico, is now available. This version, written in standard C/C++ cross-platform, can read SCP 2.0 files as well as some prestandard real implementations and visually display their content both alphanumeric and signal parts. The present application can be also built, using lightly different makefiles included in the sources, in order to insert the conformance test web service in the program functionalities (version 2.2 CONFORMANCE). The build and execution under different platforms have been tested (makefiles are available): WIN32 (Borland and Visual C/C++ 6.0), Unix like OS (e.g. FreeBSD) and Cygwin for Windows.
- The ECG Record Testing (in SCP-ECG format), already released as a Web Interface, has been now released as a Web Service for the OpenECG members. Information on how to use this service and code samples are available in the OpenECG members' area. Once accessed the members' area, you need to click on "OpenECG Certification" and then on "ECG Record Testing (Web Service)". Alternatively you can directly access the page from here.
- The "cluster" group of projects under the thematic area "Personal Health Management System and Services based on Biosensors" of which OpenECG is part is now listed with the available links.
- The last public deliverable Final Report: Results and Achievements is now available in the "Public Deliverables" section.
- Updated information on the FDA/HL7 Annotated ECG format is now available in the OpenECG members' area. Once accessed the members' area, you need to click on "Other Relevant ECG Formats" and then on "FDA/HL7 Annotated ECG".
- A new-designed OpenECG site has been opened.
- A new version of the SCP-ECG to DICOM Waveform Supplement 30 converter is now available in the OpenECG members' area. Once accessed the members' area, you need to click on "Tools and Converters" and then on "SCP-ECG to DICOM Converter". - The IFC-CNR database containing the presumed SCP-ECG files submitted by OpenECG members to the SCP parser via email service is now available in the Members' Area. Please, access the Membership section, click on Members' Area and digit your OpenECG member account (username and password). Once accessed the OpenECG members' area, you need to click on "SCP-ECG Databases" and then on "SCP-ECG Database of IFC-CNR".
- Another converter (Philips' XML ECG to SVG) has been added to the OpenECG members' area. This converter allows the conversion from Philips XML ECG format (with compressed and base 64 encoded) to the XML Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) format, which can be viewed as a graphic image using a browser such as Internet Explorer, with an SVG plugin (e.g., SVGView from Adobe). Once in the OpenECG members' area click on "Other Relevant ECG Formats" and then on "Philips XML ECG".
- The public deliverables of the OpenECG project are now available in the new Public Deliverables section of the portal.
- The presentation made by the OpenECG consortium at the Hungarian Cardiology Congress 2004, Balatonfured, Hungary on 12-15 May 2004 is now available in the Presentations section of the portal.
- Philips XML ECGs created by the cardiograph (e.g., PageWriterTouch or PageWriterTrim), IntelliVue Bedside Monitor/Information Center with 12-Lead capability, or XML ECGs exported from the TracemasterVue ECG Management System are XML ECG files with compressed and base64 encoded ECG waveforms. The OpenECG members' area has been now enriched with two converters: Philips' XML ECG decompressor and Philips' XML ECG to FDA. The former allows the conversion from Philips XML ECG format (with compressed and base 64 encoded) to Philips XML ECG file with uncompressed, plain text, waveform sample values. The latter allows the conversion from Philips XML ECG format (with compressed and base 64 encoded) to the HL7 version 3 AnnotatedECG format, which has been adopted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for digital submission of ECGs as part of a drug clinical trial submission. Once in the OpenECG members' area click on "Other Relevant ECG Formats" and then on "Philips XML ECG".
- The SW Repository has been now enriched with the most significant contributions received for the OpenECG Programming Contest. Furthermore, the contribution provided by Mauro Micalizzi & Fabrizio Conforti (IFC-CNR) has been significantly updated. To enter the SW Repository, please access the OpenECG members' area (Membership section and click on "Members' area"), then select the "Software Repository" section.

- The development of the OpenECG Certification Service (its publication in the portal is imminent) has allowed a further improvement in the quality of the test set for the programming contest with the fixing of a couple of minor problems. This new test set (OpenECG certified) for the Programming Contest is now available in the Useful Information section in addition to the old one. It is still composed by the same 12 ECGs in 3 different formats: raw data, SCP with redundancy reduction and SCP with high compression.
